The ImaginatUr has inexplicably been the recipient of super-secret images of one of Glitch’s newest animals:  The FOX!

These images were sent by a source to the ImaginatUr’s inbox.  I was assured that no servers were harmed or otherwise broken into in the procuration of these images.

But that’s not all!  There are other items associated with our newest animal:

Fox Brush:

"One finely crafted Brush for the grooming of fantastic foxes, and removing fine Fibers from their bushy tails."

Fox Bait:

"A nugget of fox-pleasing goodness, filled with every fox's favourite flavours. Proof positive that you catch more foxes with fox-bait than you do with vinegar (just in case anyone suggested the alternative, which on reflection seems unlikely)."

Pretty hideous looking to be sure – who knew foxes would be attracted to such a thing?  Well, this is Glitch after all…

Fox Ranger:

Perhaps the vendor of Fox Brushing Permits... ?

"In the mists of time, storytellers spoke of a magical spindle that could be used to spin starlight into downy threads to weave into a cloak of invisibility. But it's not this spindle. This is just a spindle. It's used to turn fibers into thread. But that other one sounds amazing, right?"

"The Loomer (TM) is used to Loom thread into String, General Fabric and Rugs through a process of Loomeration so complex, only those with a deep enough understanding of the Fiber Arts II can perform the Loomering."

"Thread, spun from Fox tail fibers, and essential in the Loomeration of String. Easily lost (but easily picked up again), smells faintly of Fox bottom."

Fox… bottom?  Is this for real?  Who knows.

"This is String. In theory, it can be used for constructing fabric, rugs, and other basic furniture items. It is a pretty good theory."

And finally, fabric:

"A coarse fabric necessary in the construction of various basic furniture items. Attractive from a distance, face-to-fabric contact feels uncomfortably like getting up close and personal with the underside of a fox's tail."

These items really seem to focus on the fox’s behind, don’t they? :)  Looking forward to playing around with the new animal and items!  Now who’s got Sloth images?!

They scare me… why couldn’t they be cute like the ones we can wear for hats? :(
They don’t make me want to brush them, I’d be afraid of being bit and diseased!

      What are you, three? -_-

It is only a still image… I’m sure they’ll have great personality when we see them in-game :)

I was literally thinking 2 minutes before I saw this that we will be needing a brush to get those pesky fox hairs. Wow, I love all of the parts of the fox-to-fabric process! I can not wait to put my fox brushing and fibre arts skills to good use!

wow- thats a lot of work to get to fabric .lols.
I like everything about the still image of the the fantastic mr fox (love the ref on taht! ) –EXCEPT for the face . I would like a cuter version – this one looks a bit odd (odd in a ‘not-so-attractive way’ as opposed to odd in a “odd but cute and loveable ” way. I am glad he has a foxy smile or he’d look a bit menacing.. but still happy for foxes anyway . ;D

Agreed, the fox seems to fit the Glitch look less than I thought it would. He looks more menacing than sly. Perhaps the dev’s want to add some more dimension to the animalia of Ur? What I don’t like is the look of the Fox Ranger, what is that thing? And why?

The fox looks perfect, a little rascally, a little ragged, but clearly suave.
